4 POINTS NEEDED TO BE SUCCESSFUL

On June 16th I was fortunate to be present at #BuildIT19, John C. Maxwell #johnc.maxwell was the keynote speaker and during his speech he spoke about many different things but I wanted to share with you what I believe will help you overcome any obstacles and reach your full potential.

Today I want to share the 4 most important things you need to do as a business owner and/or leader to be successful.

1. RELATIONSHIPS
   1. Learn to build relationships that are impactful in your life, and you build that by following these 5 characteristics.
      1. Respect
      2. Share Experiences
      3. Trust
      4. Reciprocity
      5. Mutual Enjoyment
2. ATTITUDE
   1. Ability to have an attitude to overcome adversity.
      Everything worthwhile is an uphill battle.
      Attitude + Tenacity = Success
3. EQUIPPING & DEVELOPING PEOPLE
   1. The only way is to compound your people. This will be key in order to delegate functions.
   2. No matter how good you are, you are NOT good enough.
   3. You need a TEAM of people in order to be successful.
   4. 2 Questions that will tell you what kind of company you have.
      1. What do you do to develop yourself
      2. What are you doing to develop others
4. LEADERSHIP
   1. The Law of the LID.
      1. How well you LEAD is how well you will SUCCEED.
         Example: The slowest day you and your company will have is today. You have to be AGILE and able to ADAPT or you will FAIL.

To conclude, I want to say, remember we fail forward. Failure is not the absence of success but the process of success because of the value that it teaches us.
